Over one million migrating birds make their way to San Francisco Bay during fall and winter migrations, so it's the perfect time to check then out and learn the basics of birdwatching at this jewel of a park in Oakland!

We'll cover binocular use, how to identify birds, and the natural history of these avian visitors as we go an an easy walk along the shore. Bring your own binoculars or borrow one of ours!

This is a free event, with a suggested donation of $20. No one will be turned away for lack of funds. Please register online at Brown Paper tickets so we know how many are coming. Ages 12 and up. Dogs are not allowed at Middle Harbor Shoreline Park.
