The vast majority of water in East Bay Municipal Utility District (EBMUD) comes from the Mokelumne River Watershed located 150 miles directly east of the Bay Area in the western slope of the Sierra Nevada. Most people that use the water have little contact with where their water comes from and issues that affect the watershed and ultimately their drinking water.
Sean Kriletich, a long time resident of the “Moke” River watershed will provide a resident’s view on current watershed issues, their proportional impact on water quantity, quality, and discuss solutions for a healthier future.
Topics will include:
Prop 64 (Marijuana legalization)
Tree Mortality
Forest Management
Agricultural Practices
Pesticide Use
Previous Practices and Modern Solutions
Lets us know you are coming so we can plan snacks etc for the talk, sign up here:

This event is connected to the Amador Canal Bioblitz that will be happening March 25, 2017 as Sean Kriletich runs Paloma Pollinators that gives us access to the watershed in order to do a species survey.
